DESCRIPTION:Internationale und lokale Positionen zu verknüpfen ist das Ziel des Grazer Ensemble Zeitfluss und Dirigent Edo Micic. Die deutsche Komponistin Isabel Mundry ist in diesem mit die andere saite konzipierten Programm ebenso vertreten wie die junge\, aus Shanghai stammende Klaus Lang-Schülerin Xu Weiwei – sie reflektiert in oh\, city Tempo und Dynamik des Stadtlebens. Der in Graz lebende Anselm Schaufler hat drei Chansons auf Texte von Christian Teissl komponiert – mit dem Bild einer zerkratzten\, gesprungenen Schellackplatte im Kopf. \nTanja Elisa Glinsner\, Gewinnerin des Ö1 Talentebörse Kompositionspreises\, wird als Gesangssolistin ein eigenes Werk uraufführen: Die Nacht bricht ein … basiert auf Grillparzers Medea und ist ein Plädoyer für die Titelfigur\, die\, so Glinsner\, „in einer männerdominierten Gesellschaft\, grausam zum psychischen Zusammenbruch geführt\, im verzweifelten Racheakt den Punkt äußerster Selbstverleugnung erreicht und doch gerade darin zur Handelnden\, zur Akteurin wird“. \n\n\n\n\nDie Kompositionen von Anselm Schaufler und Xu Weiwei sind in Kooperation mit dem Verein die andere saite entstanden.

Neither readings nor performing existing pieces or parts for percussion are in focus\, but rather checking out and developing material together and profiting from a concentrated exchange on burning questions composers might have in concern of percussion instruments and sound\, material and notation amongst others. Composers are welcome to record the meeting and use the acoustic material developed. \n  \nHow to apply: \n1.) An intimate voice diffracted in the audience\, the non-linear narration conceived by librettist Daniele Bellomi\, Ariadne embodies wandering more than a marked path. From Ariadne to Beat Furrer’s Aria\, a family history emerges that explores dramaturgy in space and the constant ambiguity between instrumental and vocal. DESCRIPTION:Jessica Kaiser\ninterplay – interference\nJessica Kaiser | Performer l Guitar l performance studies\, aesthetics \nThe Sette Duo by Maurizio Pisati are inspired by illustrious mountain spirits\, inhabiting the alpine regions of northern Italy\, and are originally part of the instrumental opera Theatre of Dawn. In each duo\, the guitar is joined by a different instrumental counterpart: percussion\, bass clarinet\, saxophone\, voice\, double bass\, double bass recorder and viola. This results in unique challenges of interplay for each combination\, while really pushing the boundaries of each single instrument and musician in terms of technique and sound. Additionally\, the style and specific notation of the compositions invites the duo to emphasize embodied and gestural aspects of the joint performance. As part of an artistic research project on interplay in duo settings\, the concert addresses the following questions: How can the musicians achieve a shared sensitivity for sound as a duo while dealing with the idiomatic differences of their respective instruments? DESCRIPTION:Aufzeichnungen einer Blinden \nLive-Hörspiel \nfür 2 Sprecherinnen\, Violoncello\, Schlagwerk\, Live-Elektronik \nIm Zentrum des Live-Hörspiels “Aufzeichnungen einer Blinden“ stehen zwei Frauen\, deren Geschichten sich annähern. Sie sind von „Geräusch-Landschaften“ umgeben\, die entweder dem Text entnommen sind oder mit dem Lesen von Blindenschrift in Zusammenhang stehen : wie eine Hand\, die über Papier streift\, ein Schlägel\, der auf eine Trommelhaut fällt oder das Tropfen des Wassers auf Glasröhren. \n„Aufzeichnungen einer Blinden“ beruht auf Gesprächen mit nicht sehenden Menschen\, die den Entstehungsprozess begleitet haben\, sowie einer Suchbewegung im Schreiben\, die wie ein Tasten im Ungewissen verläuft. DESCRIPTION:Schallfeld Ensemble — konfrontationen 8: Sound Seekers – Steirische Schüler/innen \nWenn Klänge versteckt sind\, muss man sich auf die Suche begeben. Das machen Schülerinnen und Schüler aus steirischen Schulen\, die sich der Förderung musikalischer Talente verschrieben haben: die Musikmittelschule Stallhofen\, das BORG Hartberg (mit Instrumentalmusik und Gesang)\, das Stiftsgymnasium Admont\, das Musikgymnasium Graz und die Musikschule Weiz. Gemeinsam mit Musiker*innen des Ensembles Schallfeld und Komponist*innen zeitgenössischer Musik experimentieren junge Menschen mit neuen Klängen: Wie kann ich in meinem Instrument\, meiner Umgebung oder in mir selbst neue und ungewöhnliche Klänge entdecken? Wie kann ich diese in musikalischen Kontexten verwenden? Wie mache ich aus alldem ein Stück? Durch Improvisation und kollektive Komposition entstehen Werke\, in denen die Entdeckungen der jungen Musiker*innen hörbar werden. \n\n\nKooperationen\n\nEine Produktion von Conto musicale und Bildungsdirektion Steiermark.
