Upcoming: ON:DRUMS

ON:DRUMS is a solo drumset performance exploring the many dimensions of the drumset in contemporary music. Created and curated by Manuel Alcaraz Clemente, the program highlights the instrument’s versatility through works by Frank Zappa, Enno Poppe, and Sarah Nemtsov, alongside three world premieres—including commissioned pieces by Alexander Bauer, Diego Jiménez Tamame, and a new work chosen through a “Call for Scores” competition.

Featuring a custom-built drumset, expanded with additional instruments and unique preparations, ON:DRUMS showcases a one-of-a-kind setup. Each piece offers a fresh perspective on the drumset’s role in modern music. Premiering in June 2025 at Kulturkotter Graz, this performance invites audiences to experience the drumset’s diversity and evolving possibilities.

An Elemental Thing

An Elemental Thing proposes a program with a clean, lucid and intelligible setting on stage, containing pieces that follow a similar line: the brilliant compositional and musical exploration of a single body.

Music by Liza Lim, Wojtek Blecharz, Diego Jiménez Tamame, Jadwiga Frei and Emre Sinan Kaleli.
