\u201cBodies in resonating action\u201d ist ein Projekt, das Praktiken der Initiierung einer Komposition durch die Beobachtung der K\u00f6rper der Interpreten:innen untersucht. Die enge und systematische Arbeit mit einzelnen Musiker:innen ist der Kern der Methodik, die darauf abzielt, die Mechanik eines Instruments und etablierten Techniken zu verstehen und zu reflektieren, aber auch das bereits verk\u00f6rperte Wissen durch die Erkundung anderer konzeptioneller M\u00f6glichkeiten, Grenzen und Beschr\u00e4nkungen zu erweitern. Da das traditionelle westliche Notationssystem auf die Beschreibung von Kl\u00e4ngen abzielt, stellt das Komponieren aus der K\u00f6rper der Interpret:innen wichtige Fragen im Hinblick auf die Notation und die Rolle der Partitur, sowohl bei der Probenarbeit als auch bei der Auff\u00fchrung. Das Projekt untersucht auch das Ritual des Musizierens, das sich scheinbar in den Raum und die Zeit der Probe hinein erstreckt und die Notwendigkeit erzeugt, die Rolle nicht nur des Interpreten, sondern auch des Komponisten zu beobachten.<\/p>\n
\u201eArtefact 2\u201c und \u201eFact 4\u201c fokussieren sich auf die K\u00f6rper der Interpret:innen (des Schlagzeugers und der S\u00e4ngerin), insbesondere auf die k\u00f6rperlichen Aspekte der Klangerzeugung und des Musizierens. Der Einsatz der Muskeln, die Beobachtung von Atemmustern und die bewusste Bewegung sind einige der Elemente, die erforscht werden, mit denen der Performer auch experimentieren und seine k\u00f6rperlichen Grenzen erforschen kann. Das Ziel der Herangehensweise an das Musizieren durch den Resonanzk\u00f6rper des Interpreten besteht darin, die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Qualit\u00e4t der Handlung und damit auch auf die Wirkung der Qualit\u00e4t des Klangs zu lenken. Intention, unterschiedliche mentale Schwerpunkte und Aktion\/Interaktion mit seinem K\u00f6rper und Instrument schaffen eine Musik, in der der Musiker die Grenze zwischen kontrollierter, vorherbestimmter Aktion und trainierter, spontaner Reaktion auf k\u00f6rperliche Manifestationen als Impulse balancieren muss. Im Mittelpunkt dieser Praxis steht immer der individuelle und einzigartige K\u00f6rper jedes Performers in all seinen Facetten.<\/p>\n
\u201cBodies in resonating action\u201d is a project that examines practices of initiating a composition through the observation of the performer\u2019s body. Close and systematic work with individual musicians is the core of the methodology, which aims to understand and discuss the mechanics of an instrument and established techniques, but also to expand the already embodied knowledge by exploring other conceptual possibilities, boundaries and limitations. Because the traditional Western notation system aims at describing sounds, composing from the performer\u2019s body raises important questions regarding notation and the role of the score in rehearsal and performance. The project also examines the ritual of music-making, which seems to be extending into the space and time of rehearsal and creates the need to observe the role of not only the performer but also the composer.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cArtefact 2\u201d and \u201cFact 4\u201d focus on the body of the performer (the percussionist and the singer), particularly the physical aspects of sound production and music-making. The use of muscles, observation of breathing patterns and conscious movement are some of the elements explored, with which the performer can also experiment and explore their physical limits. The aim of approaching music-making through the performer\u2019s resonating body is to draw attention to the quality of the action and therefore the effect this has on the quality of the sound. Intention, different mental focuses and action\/interaction with their body and instrument create a music in which the musician must balance the boundary between controlled, predetermined action and trained, spontaneous reaction to physical manifestations as impulses.
